Described in The Craftsman as a “sturdy looking willow chair [that] seems intended for some cozy fireside, for its back is high enough to shut out possible draughts and to emphasize the comfortable seclusion of the hearth.” The magazine mentioned the illustrations in the article were “recent models… as our friends seemed to desire fresh designs from time to time.” Although all of the other forms shown in the article were introduced in the 1913 Craftsman Furniture Catalog, this model was curiously absent and–as a result–the model number assigned to it remains unknown.
