Oval Table

Title

Oval Table

Date

1915-17

Maker

Gustav Stickley, The Craftsman

Notes

Although there are a number of tables identified in the Gustav Stickley Photo Archives as “6D” because of their stylistic similarities, they are treated as different models in this database based on the typical manner that Stickley ordered items: he reserved a model number for a single form and assigned different model numbers to the variants. Moreover, as the 1915 Department of Interior Furnishings catalog noted, Dining Table (no. 6D) was an extension table “also available in a 48 inch circular” form. It did not–and should not–include so many variants.
