Notes
This drawing formed the basis of what would become dining tables (nos. 632 and 633), and of all the drawings in this article is amongst the closest to the forms eventually put into production. Like in virtually all of the illustrations, the tapered legs were abandoned in favor of squarer ones, a concession which–whether intentional or not–reduced labor and material costs. The thin diagonal line evident on the front left-hand side of the table top is a nice detail that is consonant with the form as an extension table capable of handling numerous leaves.
