Notes
There are substantial differences in the construction of Arm Rocker (no. 2367) and the present model that have caused me to classify them as two separate models, rather than a progression of a single model. First, this rocker has a single stretcher along the sides rather than the double stretcher seen in no. 2367. In addition, no pegging of the front stretcher’s through tenons is evident on the front post either. That said, this could be an earlier iteration of the form, but given the numerous slight variations of stretcher configurations that differentiate other models, that argument is difficult to sustain.
