1901 Retail Plates illustrate solid back rail and specify Oak with a Rush or Roan Skin seat. Form is called a “small chair.”
Like the Chalet Desk (no. 505), this chair underwent subtle modifications that help distinguish when it was made. The earliest model shared the same cutouts as the desk, whereas by the publication of the 1901 retail plates and the November issue of The Craftsman, these had been removed.
