Notes

Although the model number was retained, the later version of this table differs significantly from the previous No. 650. First, the legs here are squared and do not taper. Second, the front and side apron are continuous (as opposed to the larger side aprons on the earlier model). Lastly, this model’s table top is one foot shorter and six inches shallower than the earlier model.
This model is also constructed a bit differently than the one illustrated in the 1909 Craftsman, the photograph of which seems to have been taken from the back of the table as it does not show a drawer. My presumption is that a drawer was included, but there may be examples of this table out there that will prove me incorrect. The most notable feature is the lack of through tenons on the lower shelf. Models made ca. 1909 should display the through tenon, whereas the later examples should not. In addition to being larger than table (no. 649), this model shows two drawer pulls rather than a single pull
